about

[After the Sh’ma]

lyrics

You shall love the Lord your God with all
your heart and soul and might, and take to
heart His commandments. Teach them to
your children; recite God’s words at home;
recite them when you’re home or far away.
When you ready yourself for bed at night
time, say these words of prayer, and when
you rise at dawn, again recite them. Bind
them on your arm and head, devotion when
you pray; inscribe them on your doorposts
and your gateways. This is how you show
your love and heed God’s laws so true, and
if you do, God’s presence shall always shine
on you.
