עָלֵינוּ לְשַׁבֵּחַ לַאֲדוֹן הַכֹּל, לָתֵת גְּדֻלָּה לְיוֹצֵר בְּרֵאשִׁית, שֶׁלֹּא עָשָֽׂנוּ כְּגוֹיֵי הָאֲרָצוֹת, וְלֹא שָׂמָֽנוּ כְּמִשְׁפְּחוֹת הָאֲדָמָה, שֶׁלֹא שָׂם חֶלְקֵנוּ כָּהֶם, וְגֹרָלֵנוּ כְּכָל הֲמוֹנָם.

שֶׁהוּא נוֹטֶה שָׁמַֽיִם וְיֹסֵד אָֽרֶץ, וּמוֹשַׁב יְקָרוֹ בַּשָּׁמַֽיִם מִמַּֽעַל, וּשְׁכִינַת עֻזּוֹ בְּגָבְהֵי מְרוֹמִים, הוּא אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֵין עוֹד. אֱמֶת מַלְכֵּנוּ אֶפֶס זוּלָתוֹ, כַּכָּתוּב בְּתוֹרָתוֹ: וְיָדַעְתָּ הַיּוֹם וַהֲשֵׁבֹתָ אֶל לְבָבֶךָ, כִּי יְיָ הוּא הָאֱלֹהִים בַּשָּׁמַֽים מִמַּֽעַל, וְעַל הָאָֽרֶץ מִתָּֽחַת, אֵין עוֹד:

כַּכָּתוּב בְּתוֹרָתֶךָ: יְהוָה יִמְלֹךְ לְעֹלָם וָעֶד. וְנֶאֱמַר: וְהָיָה יְהוָה לְמֶלֶךְ עַל כָּל הָאָרֶץ בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יִהְיֶה יְהוָה אֶחָד וּשְׁמוֹ אֶחָד.




Aleinu l’shabei-ah la-adon ha-kol, Lateit g’dulah l’yotzer b’reishit, she-lo asanu k’goyei ha-aratzot, v’lo samanu k’mishp’hot ha-adamah, sheh-lo sam helkeinu kahem v’goraleinu k’khol ha-monam.
Va-anahnu kor’im u-mishtahavim u-modim lifnei melekh malkhei ham’lakhim ha-kadosh barukh hu.
She-hu noteh shamayim v’yosed aretz, u-moshav y’karo
ba-shamayim mima·al, u-sh’khinat uzo b’govhei m’romim, hu eloheinu ein od. Emet malkeinu efes zulato, kakatuv b’torato: v’yadata ha-yom va-ha-sheivota el-l’vavekha, ki Adonai hu ha-elohim ba-shamayim mima·al, v’al ha-aretz mi-tahat, ein od.

Ka-katuv b’toratekha Adonai yimlokh l'olam va·ed. V’ne·emar: v’haya Adonai l'melekh al kol ha-aretz bayom hahu yih’yeh Adonai ehad u-shmo ehad.

It is for us to praise the Ruler of all, to praise the Creator, who has not made us like other nations, not formed us like all other earthly families, and not given us an ordinary destiny.

And so we bow, acknowledging the supreme sovereign, the Holy One, who is praised –
The One who spreads out the heavens and establishes the earth, whose glorious dwelling is in the highest heaven, whose powerful presence is in the highest heights. This is our God, none else; ours is the true sovereign, there is no other. As it is written in the Torah: “Know this day and take it to heart, that Adonai is God in heaven above and on earth below; there is no other.”

As it is written in Your Torah: “Adonai will reign forever and ever.”
And as the prophet said: “Adonai shall be known as Sovereign of all the earth. On that day Adonai shall be one, and the name of God shall be as one.”
